Merry Christmas!
I know it's been a while since I last updated but things here have been busy! I'll be sure to write a more detailed entry later but for now, Merry Christmas from Selena, Joy, me and soon to be baby boy!
Hi Thomas, my son has all the conditions that Joy has. What did your GI do for her reflux? It seems like every time my son's reflux flared up, he quit eating/drinking. We kept having to take the tube in and out, with no success weaning. How much weight did Joy lose during the weaning process? Did your insurance pay for any of the expenses? Without insurance covering any expenses, we won't be able to go to VA. Thank you!
I would be happy to talk to you via phone or email about these questions. But in short, Joy lost a little weight but not a whole lot during the weaning process. If i were to guess, maybe 1/2 lb. She has been steadily gaining weight the past few months. We had a lot of trouble getting our insurance to pay for it. I wrote several letters (including one from my pediatrician) and I had to file the claim several times (kept getting rejected) and call them 2-3x/week. They eventually did pay for the majority of it but it was after the fact and months later. Thankfully, we had friends who helped us provide the funds to secure the spot. Happy to answer any more questions you may have: tomliang76@hotmail.com
