Below is one of Joy's first feeding therapy sessions. It's easy to see that Joy isn't quite happy with food or the spoon. She has a long way to go but we are praying hard that she'll learn to eat again.
Joy was diagnosed with milk-protein allergy, post-traumatic feeding disorder, failure-to-thrive (FTT), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This is her story and journey on learning how to eat.

Starting Feeding Therapy
A team from the Montgomery County Infant and Toddler Program came to our house a few weeks ago to conduct an evaluation of Joy. They found Joy to be developmentally behind by >25% in a number of categories including speech, gross motor, fine motor, expressive communication, etc. As a result, she now sees a speech/feeding therapist 2x/week and a physical therapy 2x/month.
